What this is

RIVALFRONT is a free real-time strategy game that runs in a browser. It is in development. Matches, ratings and seasons may be reset, and the service may be unavailable or withdrawn at any time. Nothing here promises availability.

Your account

• You may play as a guest. Ranked play needs a verified identity — a Google sign-in or a verified e-mail address — which exists to make a throwaway account cost something and for no other reason.
• One person, one account per ladder. Playing several accounts against each other, or against a friend to move a rating, is what the ladder is least able to survive.
• Your display name is shown to every other player. Choose one that does not identify you and that you would be comfortable seeing on a public ranking list. Names may be changed or cleared by an operator.
• You can delete your account in the game at any time; see the privacy page.

Playing fairly

• No automation: no scripts, bots or tools that play for you or give you information the game does not show you.
• No interfering with the service: no modified clients, no attempts to forge match results, and no load against the servers beyond playing the game.
• No abuse of other players. The game has no chat, so this is mostly about names — and names are the part that reaches everybody.
• Leaving a match on purpose to avoid a loss is a forfeit, and a forfeit is a loss.

Reports and consequences

You can report a player from a match you played. Reports are read by a person. Nothing is automatic: no report, and no number of reports, causes a sanction on its own. Where a rule above is broken, an operator may reset a name, void a match result, remove a rating or close an account. You can ask for a review of a decision at info@zechware.de and include your player id.
